Protecting the Sport

Ensuring the integrity, safety, and future of dirt track
racing through structured governance and standards.

Sanctioning Framework

WRG provides a structured framework for dirt racing events through its sanctioning body, DIRTcar Racing. By setting standardized rules and regulations, it ensures fair competition and maintains high safety standards that protect the sport and its participants. Sanctioning also provides event protection and insurance coverage. Through the DIRTcar Membership program, participants receive insurance benefits that further support the safety and integrity of dirt racing.

Economically, what it does for this city is hard to explain.  Very difficult for people to comprehend. As I said, it’s an event where the city almost doubles or triples in size in terms of the amount of people here because of so many people on the campgrounds and those who travel in.

American Sprint Car Series Acquisition

In 2024, with the departure of the All-Star Circuit of Champions, WRG saw a gap in Sprint Car racing that endangered the sport by eliminating a path to 410 Sprint Car racing. To that end, WRG made a quick move to acquire and revitalize the American Sprint Car Series founded by Emmett Hahn in 1992.
